Rally at a Ravens Game
The only NFL team to be named after a poem, the Ravens call Baltimore, and M&T Stadium, their home. Super bowl champions in 2000 and 2012, our Ravens are a force to be reckoned with. There are those of us that remember Jonathan Ogden. There are those who celebrate the 2000 season Ravens defense. And there are then there’s the unforgettable 2012 Ravens superbowl win. Check Out Fort McHenry National Monument
Next on our list, it’s time for a little history lesson at the Fort McHenry National Monument. Utilized in the War of 1812, the fort is iconic for its star shape, its cannons, and its bunkers. The fort has since been utilized in both World War I and World War II to house defensive American units. Since then, the fort has been converted into a park and national monument. Awe at the beauty and integrity of this national treasure while you’re visiting the great city of Baltimore. Whether you’re a history buff or a class of kiddoes setting out on a field trip, Fort McHenry National Monument is sure to educate and occupy your attention!
Visit the Walters Art Museum
If you’re a fan of the arts, you have to take some time to visit the Walters Art Museum while you’re in town. The museum features permanent exhibits surrounding ancient art, including ancient American, Asian, and Islamic art. Also explore art from the medieval period, the baroque period, the 18th century and beyond.
